Pura Advisory acted as exclusive financial advisor to Monkfield Reptile on the sale of a minority stake to BGF.

Supplying retailers, wholesalers, pet chains, zoos and wildlife centres with a portfolio of 1,500+ products, across three leading brands – Monkfield Nutrition, Arcadia and Habistat – Monkfield’s product range is stocked across more than 35 countries worldwide.
A New Partnership
Growing rapidly internationally, BGF’s expertise and Value Creation team are ideally placed to help Monkfield to build the company infrastructure required to continue to satisfy high levels of demand in this highly attractive category.
The transaction also enables Founder, Jo Wise, to financially de-risk and hand over day-to-day management of the business to Matthew Negus, who became Managing Director of Monkfield in early 2026.
